TGFI. I mean really, thank god it is Friday. It has been an incredibly long week. Half term and work has been packed with frantic parents, loud kids, and obnoxious customers. But the week is now over and I am desperately looking forward to just chillaxing (real word).
So, moving forward. Plans and shinanigans:
Look at making the smashing smock from seams to me. I would love to do this but am scared of making it the wrong size. The pattern is for medium, but I think I would have to make this bigger. It requires some thought on my part tomorrow.
Play lego batman. Finish lego batman. Well, at least mostly.
Bake bread. A must this weekend.
Read Anansi boys.
So there. My plans.
In other news, I purchased this from here. Cannot wait to get it and frame it. Thanks for making wonderful things Julochka. :D

A quick round up of the week in pictures and then it is back to reality:
Spring appeared then went again. Just made me all the more eager for its arrival.
Valentine's day crafting.
Coffee date number 1.
Admiration for the amazing newly refitted craft shop.
Coffee date number 2.
Spending an extortionate amount of money on fabric for my quilt top. These, or at least some of these, will form the centre piece to which the quilt will be worked around.
A trip to the doctors and a slightly surreal, foggy walk home.
More crafting, this time a pin cushion, but also a tea cosy (to be finished tonight.)
Home made bagels. Delicious but a little time consuming.
And finally, making a mess. Which I meant to do more of but just got sidetracked. Oh yes. I also made cake!
Well, this is it. Sunday night, the night before I go back to work tomorrow. Full time for the week, then back to part time and eager job hunting for anything full time. I'm trying not to be too concerned about this. Just hoping that I will find something that interests me. Damn the libraries for not needing staff, or needing brilliant librarian qualifications to work in them. Alas these are tricksy times. We will have to see how it goes. After all, life seems to be about stepping sideways right now so why not continue to do that.
Overall the week has left me relaxed like a sleepy Lizzi, but before there is the chance to enjoy that state, work creeps back onto us. Work during half term no less. Yikes. To the crazy times ahead I step.

OK, the local anesthetic has definitely worn off of my arm now. Having to give up sewing my pin cushion because it hurts to bend my arm. I have got much further than this though:
Almost at the end of my week off now, which is sad. I feel like I am finally beginning to relax! So much I have not yet done. Bagel making will be tomorrow, as will the finishing of the pin cushion. :D
Have a brick wall from the old streets of Canterbury:

I've been off this week. Whilst I have not done a lot, I have, if that makes any sense. I have done a lot of relaxing and winding down. I feel like I need another week to fully enjoy my relaxed state. Alas it is back to work Monday.
Things done on the to do list:
I made a tea cosy. Almost completely successful too. I just need to stitch the lining in more securely.
I brought my quilt fabric and have some doodles drawn out as to how the fabric will go. This is earlier than planned but I fell in love with the material in the shop. Never underestimate the appeal of this fabric to me. Lots of reading being done on how to make a quilt top. Will worry about the rest of it after that is done. All in easy manageable stages.
Laundry. Lots and lots of it. Still not finished. Tomorrow?
Spring cleaning. The food cupboards and the living room are done. Clothes and our room, not so much.
Doctors. Done but back tomorrow for implant replacement. Ouch. The things we do.
Brought the malt extract for the bagels. Will make them Saturday.
Finally sat and listened to Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under. Now listening to Who Killed AP. Also very much worth a listen. To start out with try googling the Vegemite song. Then go here.
In other news, there has been sightings of herb growth:

Sorry about the lack of posting, but time has been getting away from me. I cannot beleive how fast February is going! Spring is springing, flowers are beginning to pop up and the weather is finally getting milder!
So, what is new! Not too much although my week off is here at last. I thought I was going to have to work tonight, but when I showed up I wasn't needed, so here I am, heading into a week of having nothing to do but what I want to do! Thank goodness. Except a doctors appointment on Tuesday and a belated Valentine date on Thursday, I plan to bake bread, make a tea cosey, go to the library and generally reboot myself this week. Spring cleaning will probably also occur at some-point! Maybe. :)
So yes, have a great weekend. You will probably see more of me this week than normal! Now I have to go get the flapjack out of the oven and start dinner.

Shockingly, this is my 100th post on this blog. I have gained 10 followers (which, yeah is a pants amount but nevermind) and have learnt much about the blogosphere! Celebratory half made bunting for the days photo today!
I was thinking about what to do about marking this post. 100 things about me? Favourite posts? Things I have learnt about blogging (not many yet) but mostly I think that I need to make better use of this resource and look at improving my blogging, and writing more about the things that matter. So thank you for reading this, please follow me if you don't already, and maybe over the next 100 posts I can work on gathering my thoughts into more understandable posts.
By the end of my next 100 posts, I have a couple of goals I want to have achieved, or have started to achieve: (not numbered as they are not in any particular order).
- Make a quilt.
- Make an item of clothing.
- Sort out my stuff. Be harsh with it.
- Apply for jobs that I WANT to do.
- Go to a sewing class.
- Start running again.
- Finish 10 books. So doable, and I have stacks to read.
