Z is for Zug!

Zug is german for train.

Train

I'm on the train today. Probably quite a few of them.

train tracks

Posted in advance as today has probably been full of hecticness and stress.

So, it's the end of the a-z. It's been a tough ride.

I struggled somedays. Others it came easy.

But it's been great to meet some of you and visit a lot of blogs.
I did at least ten a day, and I'm still nowhere near finished!

Happy blogging!

Y is for Years!

Dressing Up

The years just seem to keep passing. Faster and faster.

Not a Book: 3D Object

Life is just flying by before I seem to be able to get a grip on it.

Freaky Friday Farmer

I'm 25 this year. It's scary how long ago I left to come to Canterbury.

Out in Canterbury

Who would have thought I would end up here for 7 years almost?

Sunlit Mist

About to leave now.

Will I get a job that I like? Any job at all?

Day 178: Love Me!

Where will the next year take me?

Day 171: Confessional

X is for Xanadu!

What a cop out on my part today, but what can I say? I had absolutely no-clue what to write about.
So listen to a happy song and have a few minutes in disco heaven! :D

W is for Wreck this Journal

Day One: Arrival

Wreck this Journal is an art book of sorts by Keri Smith.

It is a subversive endeavor to get you creating by wrecking a book.
WTJ2 Scrub 2

It will challenge you.
WTJ2: Cut

It will push you.
Fire!

It will make you do batshit crazy things.

It will make you look like a weirdo.
Wreck this Journal: New Shoes

But you will love it.
WTJ2: Wear the Journal

And you will never forget it.
Day 365: Walking Away

You will even sleep with it.
Day12/13: Sleep with your Journal

It becomes your life. Your art. You style. It takes you over.
WTJ2: Pick Up without your hands

Believe me, I know. I've done two of them.

So, go get one. Available from all good shops and online ones too! Amazon has it.

(She's also done a number of other very good books along similar lines, but I would suggest Wreck this journal as a starting point!)

V is for Vagenda!

Day 16: Blur

If I was more with it tonight and not about to fall into an exhausted stupor, this post would be something amazing about a couple of articles from vagendamag.

Specifically this one on not shaving and this one on making a choice as to what feminine norms to embrace.

If you are interested in the freedom of women not to conform to social norms and cultures, read.

Really read.

U is for Ukulele!

197/365*2

I'm kind of learning to play the ukulele!

I got a purple one for my birthday.

I only know how to play a couple of songs.

But it is so happy making! Even sad songs.

Upbeat and joyful.

Tinny. Tanny. Out of tune. In tune.

199/365*2

Making music was never so easy!

Music videos there are all by the one and only Amanda Palmer.
Ukulele, piano playing,  most awesome musician.

Being British, tea is a pretty significant part of life!
(Just playing the stereotype! But I do adore tea!)

It comes in all shapes and sizes, tastes and textures!

S is for Sewing

Late night project beginnings...

I'm what you would say 'learning to sew.' Quilting, cross stitching, embroidering. Beginner at all.

Birthday Apron

Pin Cusion Caddy

I adore making things with thread and fabric. I love to choose the colours and patterns and mix them together.

Ironing

... and it all started with a big bang...

I love to take a whole lot of little crosses and make something whole.

I hope to get better at this whole sewing malarkey. I hope to finally figure out how to finish my quilt.

Happy Saturday!

R is for Rain!

April Showers!

We are officially in drought.
We have had incredibly little rain in the last two winters.
For England, that's weird.

261/365*2

But today it poured.
All week the rain has been on and off.

I know we need it, but could it at least wait until I have got inside?
